Both lean on the same core systems. Google Search Central says the usual SEO best practices still apply to its AI features, and that they need no special markup. So the work is the same for both: clear, quality pages people can reach.
Which practice pages count as task pages?
Task pages are the ones a patient uses to get something done, not to learn something. For most practices that means these five:
- Booking: one page or one link where a new patient can request a visit.
- New-patient forms: the current forms, not last season’s PDF.
- Insurance accepted: the plans you take, in plain words.
- Hours: including holiday changes.
- Directions: parking, entrance and the suite door.

Open each task page and ask one question: could a machine tell, from this page alone, that it belongs to this practice and is current? Run this check:
- One URL per task. Two booking pages split the signal.
- Your practice name, address and phone on the page, matching your Google Business Profile.
- A visible line saying when the page last changed.
- Links to it from your home page and menu.
Your site name matters too. Search Engine Land quoted Google saying WebSite structured data is the best way to tell it your preferred site name. Then compare your profile against the site, as in suggested edits without the panic.
